Trivita and Diabetes....Is it a SCAM??

One of the things that reassures me that TriVita is not a scam is the scientifically based and doctor developed products.

And a great example of this is in the two products that I have noticed are particularly beneficial for diabetics.

The First product is Stevia and is actually beneficial for anyone who is now using another artificial sweetener or even anyone using sugar and not just better for diabetics.

Benefits include:

  • Healthier alternative to sugar
  • Nourishes the pancreas
  • Won’t cause tooth decay
  • Nutritionally supports healthy digestion and gastrointestinal function
  • Does not raise blood sugar
Stevia has very recently been approved by the FDA. Prior to that although stivia has long been widely used worldwide and has been considered much safer than the artificial sweeteners marketed in the United States. Stevia, also known as Sweetleaf Stevia, and it's extracts could be marketed in the U.S. but only as a food and not as a sweetener.

Stevia is the only artificial sweetener available to us that is made from a herb. All of the other artificial sweeteners were developed in a lab and are chemically made. And, of course, all of the other artificial sweeteners have been tied to various serious health problems. In contrast Aspartame marketed as NutraSweet and Equal is considered by some to be by far the most dangerous substance on the market that is added to foods. Aspartame accounts for over 75% of the adverse reactions to food additives reported to the US FDA. Many of these reactions are very serious, including seizures and death as recently disclosed in a February 1994 Department of Health and Human Services report.

In addition, it is much sweeter than sugar (10-15 times sweeter) with none of the health risks associated with sugar. Food and drink companies in the U.S.A. are now developing products sweetened with the healthy alternative.

Studies have found that Stevia usage involves zero health risk. The sweetener stevia comes from Stevia Rebaudiana, an herb in the Chrysanthemum family which grows wild in parts of Paraguay and Brazil and has been used to sweeten since the 1800's and possibly earlier. It has been thoroughly tested in dozens of tests worldwide and proven to be completely non-toxic. And although any one with a diabetic condition should consult their physician before use, stevia does not raise blood sugar levels and if fact some studies suggest it may lower blood sugar.

Trivita markets a liquid version of Stevia (www.trivitacentral.com).

The Second is called GlucoBalance Formula. This product has multiple benefits for anyone attempting to stabilize their blood sugar. The promoted benefits include:
  • Help reduce insulin resistance
  • Stimulate insulin production
  • Decrease carb cravings
  • Promote weight loss

The Trivita.com website also has on this and other products testimonials from actual customers who use the products.

* You should not stop taking any medication without first consulting your health care provider.

And finally, these and all other TriVita products have a 60 day money back guarantee. That shows me they have faith in their products.
